王現(xiàn)斌博士為加拿大工程院院士、IEEE院士、加拿大一級國家教授。王教授在加拿大西安大略大學的團隊多年來一直從事無線通信系統(tǒng)前沿理論設計、分析及應用領域的研究工作，最近專注于5G/6G通信理論、智能通信、物聯(lián)網(wǎng)通信、機器學習、通信安全、定位技術、協(xié)同通信、異構融合、組網(wǎng)、邊緣計算等關鍵技術的理論及標準化研究。相關研究成果近年來在國際權威期刊及會議上發(fā)表學術論文400多篇，其中期刊180多篇，會議220多篇，其中6篇論文還被IEEE授予最佳論文獎（Best Paper Awards）?；诶碚搫?chuàng)新的已授權國際發(fā)明專利30項，出版專著3部，技術報告28份，特邀演講/受邀報告30余次，主持各類科研項目40余項。 基于以上學術成果，王教授榮獲了很多國際學術獎勵及榮譽。另外，王教授被聘為IEEE Communications/Broadcasting London Chapter Chair, Vice Chair of IEEE London Section, Chair of IEEE ComSoc Technical Committee on Signal Processing  for Communications and Computing,  已經(jīng)著名期刊如 IEEE Transactions on Wireless Communications, IEEE Wireless Communications Letters、IEEE Transactions on Vehicular Technology的編輯，連續(xù)在IEEE ICC, GLOBECOM, WCNC, VTC, 及 ICME等50多個知名國際會議擔任技術委員會主席、聯(lián)合主席、討論會主席等。王教授現(xiàn)為IEEE杰出演講人。

講座內(nèi)容：

The dramatic evolution of wireless communication technologies and their fast convergence with diverse applications signify the ongoing industrial and societal revolution. With the dramatically growing data traffic, massive connected devices and diverse services to be supported, the future success of our networked society relies heavily on 5G/6G enabled connected intelligence in overcoming the challenges from people, society and industry. The focus of this talk is to analyze the need for intelligent 5G/6G communications, identify the essential key enabling technologies, and present our ongoing research and activities in the related areas. Specifically, this talk will cover the following aspects: i) Technical nature of the intelligent wireless communications for 5G/6G, i.e. service-oriented interconnection and integration of data, knowledge and capabilities; ii) Key technical aspects of intelligent 5G/6G communications iii) Current status of intelligent wireless communications and future development of 5G/6G.
